Dick Dale in his most recent concert. In case you didn't know, Dick Dale was one who made a good success in surf instrumental music other than groups like the Surfaris. He is known for his "Miserlou", a tune that was featured in Pulp Fiction movie, and he also did the version of "Wipe out" hit tune. His trade mark has been "surf-instrumental music". Dante Gatchalian was keyboardist & guitarist for the Black Knights back then in Manila. He now manages Danvie Entertainment Inc in Toronto and provides music for all kinds of functions. He has released home grown instrumental cd's and plays all the instruments including synths, keyboards, guitar and horns. He lives in Canada with his wife Elvie and has grown children. |
Tony Layno (one with the drumsticks) was the drummer for the Black Knights and the Hallucinogenic Citrus Juice. He is now an architect in Toronto, Canada. He is also manager, leader and drummer for the Inner Vision band and still gigs regularly. He lives in Toronto with his wife Elsie and recently became a grandfather. |
